Wales YFC Celebrates Successful Launch of Impact Report at the Senedd as part of the 90th Anniversary Year
Wales YFC (Wales Young Farmers’ Clubs) successfully launched its 2026 Impact Report at an event held at the Senedd on Tuesday 27th January 2026 at 6:00pm. The event was hosted by Senedd Member Samuel Kurtz and attended by young people, partners, supporters, and representatives from across Wales’ rural sector. Kindly sponsored by Samuel Kurtz, NFU Charitable Trust and supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.
The launch forms a key part of Wales YFC’s 90th anniversary celebrations, marking nine decades of supporting young people in rural communities. As the organisation reflects on its long‑standing contribution to Welsh rural communities, the Impact Report highlights the true importance of the young farmers movement and the importance of sustaining the organisation for the next 90 years.
The 2026 Impact Report focuses on the opportunities available to young people and how this impacts them as individuals through engagement in leadership development, skills training, community engagement and strategic partnerships. All offered through Wales YFC. The presentation was opened by Samuel Kurtz, MS and closed by Deputy First Minister Huw Irranca-Davies.
Members of Wales YFC highlighted the significance of how being a member of the organisation has benefited them as individuals and the impact it has had running through the four main themes of: Welsh Language & Culture, Skills and Employability, Health & Wellbeing and Rural Sustainability.
The evening concluded with Wales YFC highlighting its 90th year celebrations throughout 2026 and networking.
