Favourite Club Night Activity:

Farm trips – We love visiting local farms and learning about different agricultural systems. This year, we went to visit the Pickstock farm.

Fundraising accomplishments:

Every year we sell red poppies to raise money for the Royal British Legion during the Poppy Appeal. £1,525 was raised at our Club Dinner this year.

Your work within the community:

Every year we help at our local shows by stewarding and organising the children’s sports section.

Favourite competition:

The members love the day of the rally, competing in a variety of competitions such as shearing, flower arranging and carpentry, to name a few.

How do you use the Welsh Language?

During meetings, issues are discussed in both Welsh and English, as most of the members speak Welsh as their first language. However, some members are learning Welsh, so we make sure we’re inclusive and that everyone understands.

The club is celebrating 50 years this year! Happy birthday to Llanbrynmair and Carno… Celebrations to follow!
