National Grid Sponsored Wales YFC’s Landmark 90th Year AGM and Strategic Plan Launch
Wales Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (Wales YFC) was delighted to welcome National Grid as the Main Sponsor of its 90th Year Annual General Meeting and Strategic Plan Launch, which took place on Saturday, 12 September 2026, at the National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth.
The event marked a significant milestone in the organisation’s history, celebrating 90 years of empowering young people across rural Wales while looking ahead to the next chapter through the launch of a new three-year strategic plan.
The AGM brought together members, volunteers, supporters, stakeholders and guests from across Wales to celebrate the achievements of Wales YFC and help shape its future direction. Alongside the formal business of the AGM, attendees had the opportunity to explore a special historical exhibition showcasing the rich heritage, achievements and impact of the organisation over the past nine decades.

The new strategic plan was officially launched during the event, following extensive reflection on the organisation’s impact. It sets out the priorities for the years ahead, focusing on supporting the Welsh language and culture, strengthening rural communities, developing members’ skills and employability, promoting health and wellbeing, and growing membership opportunities for young people from all backgrounds.
National Grid’s sponsorship demonstrated a shared commitment to supporting thriving rural communities and investing in the next generation of leaders across Wales.
