Favourite Club Night Activity:

An evening in the company of Les Battersby. We had a night full of fun, laughter, and interesting stories with Bruce Jones, the famous actor who played Les Battersby in the popular series Coronation Street. A chance to hear tales behind the scenes, ask questions, and enjoy unique company.

Fundraising accomplishments:

We have been busy with a number of successful fundraising activities over the past year. Among these was the Annual Tractor Run, which attracted great support from the local community. A popular Whist Drive was also held, creating a fun and competitive evening for everyone, especially the elderly. During the Live Well event (a sustainable living conference) at Coed Coch Estate, Harri Wanklyn and Rhun Beniarth were responsible for running the bar – ensuring that everyone had a drink and good company, with the profits going to good causes.

Your work within the community:

We organize litter pick evenings regularly, helping to keep the area clean and tidy. Members have also stacked small bales for Bob Nant y Glyd, offering support to a local farmer. In addition, some club members have established the Silage Pit Covering Society, ensuring that the hard work is done safely, efficiently, and most importantly – enjoyably.

Favourite competition:

Stock judging, fencing, tug of war, it’s a knockout, cooking (and eating).
