Favourite Club Night Activity:

Our members enjoy indoor hockey, outdoor sports in the Summer and getting together with other clubs for outings! We do also love to have a speaker come to the hall.

Fundraising accomplishments:

Tractor Pull, Sledge & Dyno Days, Carol Singing, Bingo, Raffles, BBQ’s, Car Washes.

Your work within the community:

Beach cleans, help with P2P, local agricultural shows, mince pie handouts, breakfast mornings at the hall, Ironman Wales stewarding, county show support, provided lots of wellies for the Senedd, lots of members take part in charity tractor runs, donated ‘The Martletwy YFC’ cup to a local school for most promising Ag Student, providing sand bags to local houses during floods and we helped the Police clear the road after a load had fallen from a lorry.

Favourite competitions:

Dance, Stock Judging, Entertainment, Humorous Sketches, Fencing, Rugby, TOW & Eisteddfod.

How do you use the Welsh Language?

A number of our members attend Welsh schools, some are from first language Welsh homes and we’ve recently started competing at the County Eisteddfod again. We use Welsh language on our social media posts when we can

Any other fun facts or slogans etc.:

We have almost doubled our membership in the last 18 months. We are finally starting to compete again in all competitions, Eisteddfod last year for the first time in 10 years! We won the senior rugby 7’s tournament last year for the first time. We welcome members from all backgrounds, not just those from Agricultural families. Our Tractor pull, Sledge & Dyno days attracted competitors from all over Wales, England & Ireland and GRASSMEN came to film for the day! Great excitement! We are bringing back ‘pub of the month’ in Pembrokeshire for our older members, and have invested in pool tables, table tennis and indoor games for our younger members to enjoy in the hall. We’ve supported Welsh Air Ambulance, CRY & DPJ with our fundraising, as well as building funds for our YFC hall and club.
