Farmers’ Union of Wales

NFU Cymru

NFU Cymru represents farmers, managers and partners in agricultural businesses including those with an interest in farming and the countryside. Membership of NFU Cymru is entirely voluntary and the Union is self funded.

The organisation is run by a team of staff based in mid Wales; additionally the structure of the Union is based around 11 counties and 47 local groups representing between four to eight parishes. NFU Cymru and NFU Mutual Insurance Group Secretaries are responsible for the service offered to local members within each county. The Welsh Council is the governing body. The Council meet on a quarterly basis and is headed by the President and Deputy President

Royal Welsh Agricultural Society

Our work includes providing support for business, social welfare and education in rural communities, and the organisation and staging of our ever-popular Society events; the Spring Festival, the Summer Show and the Winter Fair. This success has allowed for the extensive development of the permanent showground at Llanelwedd, first used in 1963, which is set in the heart of the scenic Mid Wales countryside. It is an ideal central location to stage its own three events and offers a prime site for other clients.

S4C

S4C is a Welsh language television channel. We transmit live between 6 in the morning and late at night. It is also possible to watch our programmes and videos on other digital platforms at times that suit you.

There is a very wide range of programmes on S4C including news, drama, documentaries, music, entertainment and children programmes. The content on the web includes a short form service, aimed mainly at a 16-34-year-old audience and is called Hansh.

Independent production companies produce most of the programmes. The BBC also produce around 520 hours a year for the channel.

You are able to view a large number of programmes with English subtitles. You are also able to choose an English language sound track for many of our programmes.

You can view S4C across the United Kingdom. Some programmes are also available throughout the world.
