Wales YFC 2021 Virtual Eisteddfod
Wales YFCs annual Eisteddfod will go ahead this year across the organisations virtual platforms.
Taking place over 4 days from the 28th March to the 31st March, Wales YFC member’s entries from all 12 county federations will come together virtually to be featured in the 2021 annual Eisteddfod.
While this is the first Virtual Eisteddfod for Wales YFC, it still offers a chance for members to compete in competitions in the music section, recitation section, light entertainment section and homework section.
‘Music Video’ is a new feature in the programme for this year and challenges competitors to mime and create a music video to any song or songs released by the Welsh Whisperer. Other competitions in the light entertainment section include story & mime and stand up.
The results for all competitions will be released on our social media pages over the 4 days, with the full results available on our website shortly after.
Kindly sponsoring the event this year is Farmers’ Union of Wales.
FUW President Glyn Roberts said: “The FUW is proud to be an official sponsor of the virtual Wales YFC Eisteddfod. These are trying times and the Wales YFC must be commended for continuing in their work and hosting this important event, despite all of the challenges. Competing in the Eisteddfod and public speaking teaches many things to our young people and helps to build their confidence. Indeed, if it wasn’t for the YFC, I probably wouldn’t be President of the FUW today. I wish the best of luck to all of the participants.”
Wales YFC cannot wait to showcase our members’ talents in this year’s Eisteddfod! We wish YFC members good luck across the various competitions, and we very much hope to be seeing you in person at the Eisteddfod in 2022.
