Favourite Club Night Activity:

Llandysul Paddlers are very popular with many members attending. Chips and Rounders at New Quay beach – the most popular night at the end of the year. An evening to enjoy and relax after a busy and active year.

Fundraising Accomplishments:

Carol Singing – we have collected money towards various charities such as Parkinsons. At our annual Thanksgiving Meeting we collect money towards charities. When the club celebrated its 60th anniversary we did a 60 mile challenge to raise money towards Alzheimers Wales. £10,680.56 was collected during the challenge.

Work Within the Community:

At the time of Covid we were assisting vulnerable members of the community with prescription and shopping pick-up. After our annual Thanksgiving meeting we donate vegetables and fruits to the local home for the elderly. We hold community evenings such as Bingo night and annual concerts such as the Eisteddfod and the Entertainment. We did litter picking in the Community as part of a project.

Favourite Competitions:

Mime!! Everyone wants to do the Mime every year. Also the Entertainment- something that includes a little bit of everyone!

How do you use the Welsh Language:

We hold our weekly meetings in Welsh, we communicate with each other through Welsh. Welsh is the first language of most of our members.
