It’s a well-known fact that throughout the years YFC has been used by its members as a dating agency. To some, the thought of finding your life long companion whilst experiencing the thrill of learning the art of flower arranging or stock judging may be alarming. But, in our rural communities these shared experiences have successfully laid the foundation for many a lovematch. 

To determine how stable some of those connections are, Catrin James our Welsh Development Officer set about rounding up a group of lovebirds from across Wales to put them to the test with the Wales YFC Siôn a Siân (Mr & Mrs). For the chance of winning a hamper of Dragon cheeses thanks to the generosity of South Caernarfon Creameries, 6 couples including NFU Cymru President Mr John Davies and wife Menna were set a series of questions. 

From knowing the colour of your partners eyes to agreeing on who’s the best driver, if this challenge proves anything it would be that with age comes wisdom, but not necessarily the ability to remember key aspects about your partner of pivotal moments in a relationship!
